Two Dames, a Piano and a Whole Lot of Giggle Water at theSpace Triplex is a simply delightful 50 minutes in the company of two frightfully modern flapper girls, Hester and Ruby, and their rather serious and seemingly disapproving pianist.

Keeping their singing voices well lubricated with “gin” from a bottle and glasses produced from Hester’s hatbox, the girls gossip and share the latest scandal, whilst treating the audience to a series of songs which include “Puttin’ on the Ritz”, “Ain’t Misbehaving”, and “Dream a Little Dream of Me”.

The whole show is presented with a great deal of warmth and good humour (including gently insulting the audience at times) and was, for me, a lovely finale to this year’s Fringe reviewing.  Beautiful costumes, classic songs from two talented performers, a light-hearted production which left the audience relaxed and smiling – simply great entertainment.
