The Jive Aces: Swingin’ the Fringe at Assembly Checkpoint brings the vintage days of swing, jive and rock'n'roll back to life on-stage in a blaze of sound and colour that also featured The Satin Dollz and Lottie B on Baritone saxophone.

With a set list ranging from classics like “Mack The Knife” and “Too Darn Hot” to Louis Prima’s “I’m Just a Gigolo” and “Sing Sing Sing”, there was something in this set list to please a wide range of people.

The Jive Aces, The Satin Dollz and Lottie B kept their music and energy levels flowing all through this hour long set (shorter than their normal one to fit into Fringe times) to an appreciative audience.  The Satin Dollz also had the added task of costume changes to keep their vintage glamour image high too.

With a classic set from The Jive Aces and vintage vocals, songs from the three Satin Dollz singers, plus tap dance routines from the two dancers, the entire on-stage line-up of 12 performers was certainly giving their sold out audience value for money at this Fringe.
